Re: Edible Flowers

I had a look at the list of edible flowers, forgot to write them down though.

Re: Not a good few days

Sorry you have had such a grim time Gwen. Just getting through the days is very hard sometimes.

Just got my computer back, with a too large bill, after it packed up. Last week, it was my TV!

Take care. {hug}

Re: How does your garden grow?

I am still waiting to plant three bramble plants. We have a frost almost every morning for a couple of weeks, which has damaged a few shrubs. My seeds are sprouting in the greenhouse, hollyhocks, lupins etc.

Re: How many of you have had your Covid jab?

I had my first jab on February 8th, and am waiting to hear about the second one. Different people have waited different times for it, which seems to depend on the place of vaccination, and which doctor's surgery they attend. My oldest son and I had no bad effects post jab, but my two younger sons ha...

Re: How does your garden grow?

I sowed several sorts of seeds about ten days ago, and the lupin seedlings popped through during the week. I was amazed. Nothing else through yet.

Re: How does your garden grow?

What a beautiful few days. Today I have a Magnolia Susan beginning to flower, plus my white stellata. I have a pink stellata, but that is not out yet. Self seeded violets grow in cracks in the concrete and on the gravel, they are now flowering. Under the hedge I still have daffs and narcissi, and hy...

Re: How does your garden grow?

In sheltered areas, I have seen violets and forget me nots flowering. In my garden I already have aubretia in flower, and outdoor hyacinths showing colour. Lots of daffs and hyacinths in bloom, and to my surprise a third aconite flowering.

Re: How does your garden grow?

While Angel was pottering in the garden first thing, I tidied two Hydrangea pots up. These were cuttings which Ted took several years since, and I don't want to lose them, but they are so hungry for water in the summer. One of the pots was hiding a bramble briar, which I managed to dig up, and pot u...

Re: How does your garden grow?

I found some berberis growing in a clump of something else. We got rid of the one in front of the downstairs toilet window, but it has started shooting again, so that is a task waiting. My pink camellia is full of buds, and some have already opened. The bramble is back in the wash house for the night.

Re: How does your garden grow?

Because of a frost warning, the bramble has spent a second night in the wash house. I have cut back some roses in the churchyard, and also in my garden, just hoping I haven't killed them off! Edged two flower beds, and removed some dead grass around one of my roses. Everything is springing into life...

Re: Where's Tabatha?

In the past I have had both neutered male and female cats, but never heard those terms mentioned.
