Think it might be kismet .....

For quite few weeks I've been stumbling across one specific horse for sale on Preloved. I don't especially need another horse, but I do often go to Preloved to see if anyone's advertising as a private seller when they're a dealer (I hate cheats and report them as they tend to be very dodgy dealers) ...

Gotham

Okay, I'm going to hold my hand up and admit to watching Gotham avidly.

No idea why, as I have zero interest in comic books, superheroes or youth US TV, but it got me hooked from the trailers alone. Haven't missed a second of it.

Any other takers?

Big bugbear who the hell thought a close up of Nico was an informative shot? Roll on March 15th They wanted to film him crying. So not nice and far too personal IMO. Luckily it did fail and as you said, we couldn't see him or anything properly anyhow. Can we swap Martin Brundle for Eddie Jordan you...

Just read that Red Bull boss Christian Horner has gotten himself engaged to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
While I wish him all the luck possible - he knows both Robbie Williams and Russell Brand left her claiming she was "nuts", right? {rofwl}

Well it's been three pretty interesting weeks in F1. Mercedes can't fail to have a Champion Driver and already hold their first Team Championship. Cash problems pile up, drivers teeter on the unemployment heap and team bosses bemoan "unfairness" in financial dealings. Out of interest I had...

Shout, scream, cry, throw paddies, they'll do the lot.

Re: Girls are breaking all of their eggs

We had same problem and it turned out to be magpies.

You would never have known, we never saw them or any sign of them for weeks, but we did hear them in the nearby trees.

Sadly a Larsen trap was our only success in getting it to stop. That and an airgun.

One of my ex battery hens was called Earnest Shackleton on account of her love of all things snowy. She was a nutter in harsh weather, bless her. So long as they aren't liable to get frozen feathers after bed we've stopped worrying about the soaked ones. If they're happy, good on them. One thing I h...

Re the pain - hens are prey animals, so have a very, very different system to ourselves. We feel pain more if seriously attacked, while most prey animals feel it for only a short time (seconds really in Nico's case) then the endorphine (sp?) system kicks in and the pain fades. It's easier on them if...

Don't read on if you're not a fan of bypassing vets!!! Our Leghorn Nico Rosberg (named after the F1 driver as she has a foppy comb and is blonde) developed bumble some months ago. As three courses of antibiotics failed to shift it and she had a foot like a golfball, though was barely lame, I went in...

Yes, mildly disappointing though watchable. Oddly I'm no fan of UK TV on the whole, but for some unknown reason I've recorded Grantchester, watched them all so far and feel I'll stay with it if it returns. I also recorded and watched Gotham, so it seems my televisual standards are slipping .... (Or ...

Agreed.
However, the bit where she tells him to shut up almost makes it worth the coverage.

(Which is why he left it in, of course)

Re: Broody hen not eating?

We gave in moving them off the nest years ago and just let them eat and drink when they want. It's easier and I'm convinced they eat and drink more when not interfered with. For the record, with most pet hens being a touch porky anyway, I've had one little Aruacana drop almost half of her entire wei...
