Re: Newbyhi Milly, welcome! just a point regarding perches...when we received our coop we were so UNDERWHELMED by the position and quality of the perch that we immediately took it out.I really worried about how the girls would manage, but they all cuddle up together and sleep on the wood shavings and straw and...

Re: Bleeding footthanku Dom,we gave her a bath (which she found very mystifying..!!) then she seemed a bit more herself.the cut doesn't seem deep and she isn't bleeding anymore. We call her our escape artist, and she is definitely the daredevil of the flock.... will keep a watch on her. thanks again.
Bleeding foothi all,we have just found one of our girls has cut her claws and doesn't want to walk.she is just sitting resting herself.would a salt water bath be ok? many thanks, Katiee
Re: watching the exbatts learnhi all.I am also very fascinated watching the character of each chook. We have a recycled plastic coop, but we were very unimpressed with the position and quality of the perch that came with it and we removed it.our three girls sleep on the floor( and in the nesting box ....).what amazes me is that if...
