Re: better late than never

Went to the big t`sco this morning to try and get hubby pressie for birthday, took a shopping list as well for groceries and although spent more than I thought, I will be using what I bought to bulk make curry sauce and stew, also had to buy more turkey mince for my old ferret who loves it but as bi...

Re: What new clothes do I need..

I too very rarely buy new clothes, I`m all for comfort and just feel horribly uncomfortable if I dress up. I live in leggings and jogging trousers and, warm jumpers (really feel the cold) basically anything that does not constrict. Sometimes I wish I was a bit tidier and dressier but it`s not really...

Re: Superscrimpers

I am interested in world war 2 home front, find it fascinating how people coped, they reckon people were a lot healthier with the rationing than today, for all the different foods we have now. I can remember my dad talking about the parties and sing songs. What about a thread on our memories or fami...

Re: Superscrimpers

I watched it and did`nt think as good as prior weeks but hubby wants to have a go at the butter making. I have seen a article about making it in a magazine ages ago. Think it`s not going to be exactly frugal but we shall see.

Re: No Knead Bread.

I fancy having a go at the no knead bread but, not wanting to seem like a complete muppet, I am wondering about the sachets of dried yeast you said you can use, is it the 7g fast action yeast sachets or something else sachet wise. :?

Re: better late than never

Have`nt done too bad this week, kept to dinner menus i made out so kept to groceries I bought last week. Did have to take my old ferret to vets twice at cost of 24 odd pound each time but she was really really poorly and thought it was going to have to be goodbye but she has perked up again. Very se...

Re: Some before and after pics of my Allotment

you have really put some hard work in there, it looks amazing. the site I had my allotments on did`nt allow sheds or greenhouses which was a shame as everything had to be bought from home every time you visited. Good thing about the site was that it was very well fenced and reasonably secure. :-D

Re: Ageless Comedy

Love the Good Life (got the DVD set) still find it funny no matter how much you watch it, also love Dads Army. What about Morecambe and Wise, think they were brilliant.
I find a lot of the comedy today not funny and a bit to rude for me. Never

Re: HFW Brownies.

Have you tried Mary Berry recipe for brownies, its a chuck it all in bowl recipe but not had failure with it yet, really like her recipes as pretty foolproof. I love baking but as only me and hubby have to give stuff away to friends as too much for us. I have a recipe for baileys brownies but can us...

Re: Picket fence

Wow, that fence is really good, I would like something like that round the bit of grass (only a little bit) under my kitchen window to stop bods visiting next door congregating under my window and also walking on the grass. Will have to show photos to hubby, although DIY is not his strongest point, ...
