Re: Finished my 68k 'Turtle Run'

I saw both the attachments and the dogs were looking very healthy and nice as was the T shirt.
Are they your dogs?

Re: No alternative

Really, FR {rofwl} Thanks everyone once again for good wishes. Knee is loads better today, hardly any pain or swelling also not much back pain which could be because I am not on the crutches when I did tend to lean forwards. Been doing the exercise to put your ankle up on a rolled up towel and let y...

Re: No alternative

Physio rang me on Thurs and gave me some more exercises to do, including manipulating my knee..........YIKES, not too keen on that one as it involves moving three different parts of the knee! Remaining staples out on Thurs too, now have two steri strips as just a little opening after they were remov...

Re: Lack of some grocery items

Terry went shopping to Al..di and Tesco's this last weekend and got everything on the list.
Like LL says sometimes you can get things you want and other times you cannot, but that has always been the same from our experiences in that particular supermarket.

Re: Chickens brought in first Lockdown being abandoned

We live in a throw away society and unfortunately this includes any animals we may grow tired of.
I expected this to happen when first hearing about people getting chickens.

Re: Keeping poultry

I promised myself that when I found a property that could accommodate hens then I would have ex batts, which I did a few years after 2006, they all departed and I decided on no more. We then moved into this house in 2016 and I thought for a couple of years I think it was and then had some point of l...

Re: Supermarket Online Shopping

Not so much organised, Mo as much as an intense dislike of shopping...........any shopping.
That is always annoying, LL when they change the store round, but my answer to that is to ask the assistants until I get the hang of the changes.

Re: No alternative

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. The pain in my knee is very low and definitely much less than before the op, it is just the really dull low back ache from the epidural that is waking me up in the night and making me 'kind' of tetchy now, but the doctor did say it should only be another couple ...

Re: rehoming v selling

I know some people go on the idea that if you pay for something you will value it more, but not too sure about that in this day and age. It all depends on which rehoming place you go to as someone I know went to a rehoming place and they never did any checks whatsoever. The dog ended up in a reasona...

Re: Making eco bricks out of plastic wrappers

Never thought of recycling plastic like that, Spreckly, but some years ago was on a horsey forum and some people tried to make eco logs out of horse poo. They found the problem was that it took so long to dry out thoroughly and also space to store it was a problem and it seemed to peter out.

Re: Supermarket Online Shopping

I have never done an online shop with any of the supermarkets, but during the first lockdown did put some add on's on my youngest daughters which worked quite well. We usually go every 3 - 4 weeks to the supermarkets. I always make a list out in the order that the food is in in the shop and we are u...

Re: No alternative

Well, been there, had it done and came out on 7th, recovering quite well. I was doing physio day after op and have continued to do so although been difficult at times as knee blew up like a football. Had two dressing changes, site clean and no infection. Will have half of my clips out tomorrow, Mond...
