Re: cancelled op

Comet had the snip last week, so I can sympathise with you Bea! He's been feeling fine and dandy since the morning after the op, and it's been a struggle to keep him quiet. We decided that a 10 minute lead walk several times a day would be less likely to open the wound than the lunatic bouncing arou...

)eat( yum!
No microwave here, but you've got me wanting baked Camembert, so that's my dinner plan sorted (it is ok to have just cheese for dinner, isn't it?)

Re: Having the worst time

No offence intended to anyone - I'm not suggesting that anyone here would be giving medication to animals unless 100% certain of what they were doing and/or with veterinary advice. I don't know the ins and outs of the legal side of things - was just concerned as to how this might appear to an outsid...

Re: Having the worst time

I've been so ill, I need help even standing up, mum had to sort the chickens. Been sat with my head in the toilet most of yesterday as the pain was so unbareable it was making me vomit. I've not been this bad in ages. I'm just really struggling to cope, seems like such an easy thing to sort and eve...

Re: Eat a Rainbow

We keep a jug of water in the fridge with cucumber and mint in it - the children all choose that for preference at the moment.

Re: I go Geocaching.

The national trust ones sound like a good idea. We found two while out walking with the dog this afternoon, and my 8 year old has definitely got the bug - he was all for ignoring his sister's protests of sore legs (she's only four, and hasn't been well), saying 'but there's one only a thousand metre...

Re: Positive about sorting my weight this time...

I'm still hovering at a pound either side of the 12 stone mark. I've been doing lots and eating lots, so the two are obviously cancelling one another out. I need to make soup tomorrow - that seems to make a big difference, if I have a big pot of soup to eat for lunches every day, then I eat much les...

Re: I go Geocaching.

We used to do a lot of Dartmoor Letterboxing as children, which is the original, low-tech version of geocaching. It adds another dimension to a walk - I'm happy to just walk for the sake of walking, but the children like having a point/purpose to the walk.

Re: I go Geocaching.

Resurrecting an ancient thread We've just bought a gps thingummy for geocaching. We've used the app on my 'phone to find a couple of caches, but my 'phone is too fragile to let the children carry it over bumpy ground. So - we were sent money by my Grandma to 'buy something for the children' and have...
