Should be fine to take out the top. How far depends on how leafy they are down the tall stem as you must leave some leaves. It might also take more time for the flower buds to appear but your plants will be stronger. Good luck and hope you have a lovely show.

I found the program so interesting and enlightening. The program showed what damage has been done in just 50yrs. I agree that we should all make changes now and that things can be reversed. Heard no more about mine . I have an e-mail which was headed Thank you for applying for your TV licence which I have to prove I contacted them, plus I spoke on the phone so must be a record of that. As far as I am concerned the problem is hopefully theirs to sort out.
