Thanks everyone, will try her again tonight without the collar light but I think i'll maybe have to accept she'd prefer to stay in the warm where it's light - mind you, so would I!!

No idea about the beak thing - unless it's to do with the colder weather. :?
Maybe you're right and it's just his time, it sounds like you're doing everything possible to keep him warm and comfortable. Still keeping my fingers crossed he improves >fi<

I know what you mean Wendy, I had lost 20lbs earlier this year (although not entirely on purpose) but its all creeping back on now so time to restart the healthy eating.
