First Swallow of the year!

Post by wildlifemad »

We saw our 1st Swallow of the year on Saturday at home just as we got back from Mums! Always great to see but for us we love it when the Swifts arrive.

None here yet. I like them very much but do not like the mess they make, still you cannot have everything.

Lovely. Not seen any yet, agree about the mess - last year they nested in the garage and even if I blocke one way in I think there's another I cant block + the cat uses.

Our first 3 were on the wires on Fri.
A holly blue butterfly on the hedge yesterday. Ad while out in Marbury Park a Brimstone and Orange-tip. The wooden enemies (!) were out in sheets, plus a few bluebells and primroses.
