Strawberries in hanging baskets

Post by AnnaB »

Read about this some time ago and as I have 5 redundant baskets
and no room in the garden I gave it a go. Yesterday and today I picked a good punnet full. It appears to work as the air can get to them and its much better than flowers.

Great idea....I was thinking about making a strawberry table for mine, mainly to keep them off the ground and away from pests, but will give this one a go.

My mum grew cherry tomatoes in her hanging baskets over summer, that worked well too.

cheers

I've seen this somewhere and it's a great idea. I'm all for 'rule breaking' and making use of everything around us.
