Tic increase

Post by Spreckly »

I have gleaned from three different sources that more tics than usual are about. A dog owner a few miles away has had problems with her dog being targetted. I normally frontline Angel, particularly before we go off in the caravan, and she is getting more inspections than normal now, just in case she is jumped on by a tic. We have sheep across the road from us, but my neighbour told me that a few years since she had a tic just from gardening yike*

Nor had tics on our dogs since our Rough Collie had them when we were on holiday in Scotland.

Horrid things.
I cannot remember the last time any of my dogs have had tics.
I had a cat have a few way back in the 80's. But not the dogs, fortunately

If you can't be a good example........
you will just have to be a horrible warning

None of our dogs or Clare's have had tics, says me with fingers firmly crossed.
Clare does give Teddy a herbal mixture to keep fleas, tics and other nasties away after having been inundated with them just after we moved into this house three years ago and so far so good as Teddy has been totally clear.

Can you share the herbal mix with us Gwen.? Sounds good if it is working.

Will do, June, but will have to ask Clare as it is on a need to know basis and with her being Teddy's owner I do not need to know. LOL

Just had a look on the packet and it is from Natures Bounty. There email is:- http://www.hedgerowhounds.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and telephone number is 07831 849863 if you should prefer to ring.
The mix contains Alfalfa, Neem leaf, Fenugreek, Organic "Sea Greens" Seaweed, Mint, Lemon Balm, Echinacea, Pumpkin seed, Flax, Aniseed, Calendula and Coconut oil and Clare has a 125g packet, not sure if this is the only size though.
Small dogs (10 - 18kg half a 5ml measure
Medium dogs (20 - 35kg) one 5ml measure
Large dogs (40 plus kg) one heaped 5ml measure
It takes a good 6 weeks to get into the system and DO NOT FEED TO CATS.
This has worked for Teddy and as I said previously he was absolutely infested with fleas just after we moved here, but none since having the above after the 6 weeks of first taking it.
