I'm going to watch this programme. Its last series was very interesting indeed, with lots of experimental research into weight loss, fitness gains etc.

Well done Boo!!!

I've lost 300g (but the carrot cake I ate over the weekend probably contributed to it...still it's a loss and I think everything is over now school has started back so I'm going to get back on track....I'm just relieved that I haven't put on more.

Good on ya Freeranger )t'

I've decided to do some juicing...after watching that documentary (Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead) I've been thinking about it more and more so I thought I'd give it a go...started a couple of days ago so I'll let you know how it goes.

So far have to say I'm actually enjoying it :-D

I have several of Jason Vale's juicing books Manda, including one which is using foods known to help medical conditions. I really liked his books, even though I thought he was a little bit not my cup of tea!

I hated cleaning the juicer though }hairout{

Well, here we are again. I started the diet - again - yesterday, and have done one whole day so far. Lost 6.5 lbs before, 1.5lbs back on, and now restarted. What a familiar story. Don't think I'll be going as far as juicing everything, but snacks (toast had started to feature mid-afternoon), and maybe soup instead of juice. Partly because the freezer is full of it, and also because it's just comfort food weather here. Not beating myself up, because still lost some on balance, but in all honesty quite a weak effort. I think it's the thought of a seemingly never-ending process that's depressing.

I'm actually enjoying the juicing at the moment...I've found a brand of green tea I like too (up until now I've struggled but it's amazing how not drinking run of the mill (for want of a better description) tea has focused me..and I'm enjoying hot water with ginger in it (I never thought I'd say that as I'm generally not a ginger lover but I like the fresh ginger taste.
This is the end of day 3 so I'll stick with weighing myself on Monday as per usual but so far it's looking good (as I have already admitted I scale hop)....but I'll await to see what the cumulative effects are.

The only problem is the amount of fruit and veg I'm going to get through....but I've invested in a one of the Nutribullets...which means I'll get the fibre from the fruits and veg too and so will possibly use less that way....or I'll try to do a mix of the two.

The juicer is a pain to clean..the Nutribullets are easier to clean so that's attractive too )grin2(

Well done Freeranger for getting back to it! Soup sounds a healthy option, and as you say, warming, although not so good for me as I like bread with lots of butter with it!

I am sure that once you are full swing again and seeing results, it will make it easier for you to continue eating healthily. {hug}

Manda - have you tried a slice of lemon in your ginger tea too? Yum!

No I haven't tried Lemon in it although I've got one that has Lemon and Lemongrass in it, which I haven't tried yet.

Well I've been on the scales ...I've had 5 days of juicing and I've lost 4.6kgs (10lbs)!!

I've actually found it really easy...heck I never thought I'd hear myself saying that!!
My skin feels much better (probably because of the amount of water I'm drinking) I've also discovered the wonders of coconut water ...which I thought I would like but meh ...I mix in with the juice. It's pretty bland but it has a smell which just doesn't quite sit right with me...I'm drinking it though because it's full of potassium and electrolytes.

I'm thinking I'll keep it up for a wee while ..then when the nutribullet arrives I'll do a mix...could even blast things up and soup them for a change...make a change.

Hope everyone else is doing OK

Wow, just WOW, that is amazing Manda, well done )t' That must have given you such a boost!
I forgot to weigh in last Monday so instead of worrying about it, the new me just said oh well, will wait until next week so that I can stick to the same day/time! That is a departure in itself!

Lol, just realised that it is Monday so must remember to weigh myself a bit later! I am expecting another gain but will see what happens and update here, whatever the result!
