Positive about sorting my weight this time...

Post by ma larkin »

I have joined weightwatchers again! But this time, I am going to attend meetings. I did it online last year, and to be honest did not really get motivated. Things are very different for me this year, and I have alot to look forward to including getting married! That is a big incentive :-D
Pa Larkin is on my side too! The last time he did not really take me seriously, but now he has put on weight! I felt 'alone' last time. I have managed to get him out for walks this week, and up to to the allotment! we are both shocked at how 'unfit' we are. He has enjoyed the meals I have cooked and is happy to give 'Quorn' a chance! He has even enjoyed our walks!

So, here we go! I weighed in at a whopping 14 stone and 10.5 1bs :oops:

My weigh in is next Tuesday!

Good luck to you Ma......I am sure you will both do really well as you sound really motivated. After all, what better than your wedding day to motivate you?! {hug}

Of Ma best wishes with WW - your start weight is the same as mine was last year and I lost 2.5 stone - have re-gained a stone due to various illnesses and lack of motivation )dwn:

Oops sorry to confuse you, I didn't do WW, I followed my own healthy eating and 'more movement' plan! I cut out snacks and had tiny portions of pudding, and as I got used to eating less I also cut back on portion sizes - upped my walking (the dog was well pleased) and wore a pedometer to make sure I did at least 10,000 steps a day. Unfortunately I was hit with a lot of health problems one after the other from early December onwards and have slipped back into old habits {cry} but I am really determined that I will keep the 1 1/2 stone off that I am down on last year and try to lose some more. Problem is this cold weather makes it hard to want a salad for lunch, I am craving something warm (and usually fattening!).

Keep talking to us as you go, we all seem to have been there :-D

I lost 5lb's! :-D so I treated myself to a skipping rope. I have not skipped for years! It's really hard LOL!
The weather was hideous last weekend, so I did not get out to walk as I intended Sunny although I managed a few walks during the week with a rather reluctant Pa Larkin. :?

Best of luck to you Kate and I hope you are better {hug}

And I promise not to cheat Jannie although I fell slightly off the rails on Saturday. I drank just a little too much wine, but I got straight back on track the next day.

A very happy Ma Larkin :-D

Skipping is great exercise! Boxers do it to train for fights. You will soon be as thin as a pin!
