Maintaining a better wellbeing, mainline or alternative
I have joined weightwatchers again! But this time, I am going to attend meetings. I did it online last year, and to be honest did not really get motivated. Things are very different for me this year, and I have alot to look forward to including getting married! That is a big incentive
Pa Larkin is on my side too! The last time he did not really take me seriously, but now he has put on weight! I felt 'alone' last time. I have managed to get him out for walks this week, and up to to the allotment! we are both shocked at how 'unfit' we are. He has enjoyed the meals I have cooked and is happy to give 'Quorn' a chance! He has even enjoyed our walks!
So, here we go! I weighed in at a whopping 14 stone and 10.5 1bs
My weigh in is next Tuesday!
Good luck to you Ma......I am sure you will both do really well as you sound really motivated. After all, what better than your wedding day to motivate you?!
3 children, 3 grandchildren, 3 chooks, 3 fish, a shrimp that thinks its a prawn and a dappy dog.
Of Ma best wishes with WW - your start weight is the same as mine was last year and I lost 2.5 stone - have re-gained a stone due to various illnesses and lack of motivation
Oops sorry to confuse you, I didn't do WW, I followed my own healthy eating and 'more movement' plan! I cut out snacks and had tiny portions of pudding, and as I got used to eating less I also cut back on portion sizes - upped my walking (the dog was well pleased) and wore a pedometer to make sure I did at least 10,000 steps a day. Unfortunately I was hit with a lot of health problems one after the other from early December onwards and have slipped back into old habits but I am really determined that I will keep the 1 1/2 stone off that I am down on last year and try to lose some more. Problem is this cold weather makes it hard to want a salad for lunch, I am craving something warm (and usually fattening!).
Keep talking to us as you go, we all seem to have been there
A wedding - how exciting! Good luck with the weight loss, I'm sure you'll find it easier with Pa Larkin at your side! And it's much easier to get out and doing more walking and cycling now the weather is nicer.
Missing my little friend Sunny Clucker
I lost 5lb's! so I treated myself to a skipping rope. I have not skipped for years! It's really hard LOL!
The weather was hideous last weekend, so I did not get out to walk as I intended Sunny although I managed a few walks during the week with a rather reluctant Pa Larkin.
Best of luck to you Kate and I hope you are better
And I promise not to cheat Jannie although I fell slightly off the rails on Saturday. I drank just a little too much wine, but I got straight back on track the next day.
A very happy Ma Larkin
(New weight 14 stone 5.5lbs!)]
I lost 4lb on my first week last week lost my way fri and sat but back in line agaain now . Well done all you losers we all have bad days but lots more good days and they count ( sorry used to be a consultant) Make a pot of soup with loads of veg and a stock cube and liquidise. HA!HA! Percy!! You are funny
I lost 3 lb's I am soooo happy! I can't stop smiling and I am enjoying a well deserved beer!
I was really active and busy over the past week, and already I feel more energised. I have still got a long way to go and I am enjoying every minute of it. Except the skipping...It is REALLY hard!
Maz, are you doing weightwatchers too? Well done for your weight loss, and let us know what you loose this week!

Oh to be 'as thin as a pin' Sunny!!
Well done ma, thats 4 bags of sugar less you are carrying about with you, thats how I use to think of it, made it easier to calculate, well done, you have such a good incentive, although pa larkin loves you just the way you are so losing the weight for you is the way to go
