so ridiculously pleased

Post by boosmummy »

Approx 4 years when i was diagnosed with M.E i was told to walk with a stick ( i hated it!), that i was 6 weeks off being in a wheelchair and that its likely that i would never run again, as i would only get 80% of my energy levels back.

Ive been running since the 3rd of july and as of last night ive cleared 50k in that time :-D :-D

It been a horrible road to recovery, giving up various (yummy) foods, giving up work changing my lifestyle etc... but i finally feel like im might just be getting back on track!

Good for you!

Never, ever believe them when they say you can't. I trained as an exercise instructor after I was told the same (was diagnosed way back when it was Yuppy Flu). I have been unable to do much over the last few years but, having lost much of the weight I gained I am back at it.

You can. And if you listen to your body and find your own strengths and weaknesses, you can do a lot!
