1950s retro tiki outfit!

Post by p.penn »

I have finally finished my four piece 1959s outfit! My goodness, this has been challenging {rofwl} For a start, I had to redo the whole front of the shorts as I accidentally cut 2 holes in the middle of the front when neatening the seams {rofwl} ... broke the zip after I had installed it twice ... cut all the boning too short ... put one piece in upside down and I even sewed the popper on back to front {rofwl}

The top is very slightly too big, but must confess to being really thrilled with them, and have worn the shorts for the last 2 days!

That's lovely, loving the colours!! When you get bored you can come over to me & alter my curtains I have for the lounge & bedroom, I've had the lounge ones a year & the bedroom ones 6 months!!!! I will get round to it eventually its just they were bought in the sale so were a good buy but that's no excuse for them not being up!!!!

Thanks everyone! Bob, its 4 pieces, sarong skirt, top, bolero and shorts! The neck strap is removable too, so lots of wearing options! I'm on another dress at the moment, but I'm having trouble with it, so it's on the naughty step until it learns how to behave {rofwl}
