More bling made for the garden, this time, plastic hearts on spikes, with sequins and glitter. The spikes were from an old garden parasol.

Still making things for the garden, I am taking part in the Open Gardens event in the village on Sunday. Going for the quirky, unusual, and surprising look.
Made a screen out of a clothes rail, strips of clear vinyl with colourful vinyl flowers, leaves, and buttons, fixed on with cable ties. It's got the WOW factor.

Someone gave me a lot of bottle tops so I made wind chimes out of them.

Another wall hanging finished.
I found this in a car boot sale for 50p. It's a thingymajig to hang scarves and accessories on. I thought I could make something with it.
So I used it as a template to make this.

Is there anything you cannot do/make, MQ?
Have you had the garden open day yet and if so how did it go?

Ha ha, I'll have a go at most things. Not done pottery or wood carving yet because I don't have the tools.
Yes, all done and dusted, Gwen. This is the entrance to my back garden.
On this page is a video tour of my garden filmed after the last person left. It's on youtube. Don't know how to embed the video here, sorry.

One of the visitors, also a blog reader.
Getting ready, painting pots.
A lot of preparation but it was a fun day so all worth it.

It was about time I did something with this wet felted picture I made a few months back. I was undecided how I would present it, in a frame, what kind of frame, or no frame at all.
I have some hessian wallpaper which is about 40 years old, left over from my living room decorations in my first small terraced house. Now in my third house so it's been around a bit. It suits this picture fine. Hessian wrapped round a board, picture fastened on with four wooden buttons and wire. Back covered in black sticky back insulation foam, found in a skip. Another one ready for the exhibition.

Thank you. I've got 35 pictures to go in my exhibition at the library in Burton upon Trent on the 20th of August. Getting them all ready now. I've made a new page on my blog for my arts and crafts. They are all at the top of this, followed by other arty/crafty projects I have made.
