My latest crochet blanket. Still got the border to do, but really pleased with it :-D

Now that's different from the usual pattern. Though when I studied it closely I noticed that the diamonds are like the squares on the blanket my mother made me decades ago. And are all the big shapes the same? The colour schemes make them look quite different - in some you notice petals, in others spaces between.

Mo, the octagons are all the same. The colours tend to highlight certain bits I think.

Gwenoakes, the border is quite plain, just dc and tr, but it frames it nicely. I’m going to leave it until after Christmas now.

I think where the 'petals' have a darker bit nearer the centre it looks like a flower, Where the lighter colour is near the middle you notice the gaps.

Wow! That is fabulous!
I went on a learn to crochet day. The lady said she had only failed with 2 people...guess who was number 3 {rofwl} {rofwl}
