You make some lovely dresses. How about reviving your blog and showcasing them all on there. +f+

Thanks everyone :-D Ilona - I have kind of lost my blog mojo! I have had some serious long term health issues over the last four years, so have taken a huge step away from many things. Last time I looked I couldn’t work out how to post on it }hairout{ and there seemed to be a whole load of non genuine watchers, which I didn’t know how to deal with!

That's understandable, your health has to come first. In the last four years Blogger have changed a few things around, so it would be difficult if you haven't kept up. Sometimes it annoys me, just as I have got things running smoothly they make changes.

Not sure what you mean by non genuine watchers. Anyone can read a blog, but you can change the settings to allow certain readers to comment, (those with a Google account), or close comments altogether and not accept any. I get lots of spam every day and have to moderate the comments to delete them.

If you wanted to you could start again with another blog. Just a thought, you perhaps haven't got the time or the inclination.

Thanks for the advice Ilona :-D. I’m just beginning to ‘settle ‘ a little now. The weather has helped! To be honest, I’m kind of surprised at myself for not being more proactive with my blog, although, as I mentioned, because of my health, life has changed considerably, and it’s taking some time to adjust. I may try again in a few months. X

Ps, one thing I can do (even though I started it almost 3 months ago) is to sew. My latest retro dress

You really do choose some beautiful fabrics for your dresses. Fabulous as usual. Must be a lot easier to make a dress when you have the form to fit it on as you go through the various stages. Keep them coming. :-D

The colours remind me of a dress I had in the 60s.
When I graduated we had to wear black or navy under our gowns. My mother had sent for a navy linen dress (sew it yourself, kit) from a woman's magazine, but it never arrived. So I wore the black dress I had with its huge yellow/orange flowers. Probably not quite what was meant. We told the magazine to send the beige version of the dress instead.

Thank you ladies! Ilona, yes, a mannequin helps in many ways. However, although she’s adjustable, she’s not an exact body double. Good enough though, but I have to try on to fit. }hairout{

I treated myself to a second one the other day, she’s called Dolly. Mind you, she’s got attitude yike* I’ve hidden all the knives {rofwl}
