Latest retro dress

Post by p.penn »

I finally managed to finish this, although when I can bear to stop wearing it, I need to redo the hem! It’s an everyday shirtwaist dress.

That is really lovely, p.penn, such a pretty colour and style. I used to love shirt waist dresses when I was younger. Now I avoid anything round the waist, or in my case non waist. LOL

Hi , Well from the mans point of view , I remember these type of dresses from my youth . I have been looking for flower pattern dresses this year . Found a few for SHMBO and they have been agreeable with her as well . I look at the styles and patterns then wait for them to end up in the outlet stores (cheaper ) , trouble with that they do not always end up there in the right sizes .

Buttoned fronts and challengers in the dark. Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day at work . Thank you.
Love your designs and look forward to the next pieces of work.

What is the colour /pattern / style for next year/ winter .
If you can get that right you would be worth a fortune.
Well done again .

Well Bob, I believe next winter men’s fashion will be fluorescent pink lederhosen, with long sleeve striped jumper underneath, thigh length black shiny boots, and a bowler hat. If I were you I’d start buying now, before everyone realises {rofwl}

Thanks everyone for your lovely words x

Yes, another here who will look forward to the piccie, Bob. LOL

Have just come back from our local small town and seen dresses displayed in their window just like the ones you have made, p.penn. We just passed by in the car, so no chance to see what their pricing was like.

I can’t imagine ever selling one of mine as they take me so long and are consequently very precious!
