Dog Portrait

Post by albertajune »

I painted this watercolour for my friend of her dog that is no longer with her. It is a good likeness to her photo and she did love it. It was a very busy photo so kept it simple.

I have heard somewhere that to paint a portrait of an animal you have to get the eyes exactly right and looking at that portrait you have done that absolutely, June. Really beautiful it is and a HUGE well done to you.

Thanks ladies. I don't know why but the background looks a different colour on the up loaded pic but you can see the dog.
