Rhubarb

Post by Spreckly »

We have had three meals from our rhubarb, but today when I started to cut it up, half the outer skin came away with the pieces. Is it too soon to pick it, or is it too old? Has anyone any advice, please.

Not sure but no, if it's big enough to properly pick then you can eat it. It wouldn't be too old - if you picked it days ago then it could be a bit bendy but I wouldn't worry.

Thank you for your reply to my rhubarb query. It just seems a shame to have to waste so much of the rhubarb, when I cut it up.
