My recycling project

Post by albertajune »

I had the daunting job of clearing lots of accumulated tools and 'junk' from my late husbands work shed. My son took what I couldn't give away to the local tip but on taking out the drawers of an old chest of drawers that held his tools I decided that I might make use of them. I found a few odd shelves which together with the drawers I thought I'd have a go at making a sewing corner in the spare bedroom. I must admit that sawing with my arthritic hand took for ever but I eventually got there. My lovely friend and neighbour who is a craft addict, just happened to have a roll of stick on fablon which she gave me to hide the joins in the top.

Must say I am quite please with my attempt and sure that OH was really behind it.

Well done.
And well done for getting on with the clearing. 16 months on I'm no further than I was a year ago - still a study packed with books and half finished projects. Did the easy stuff - then gave up.

I really like this, June. Very well thought out and looks good too - usually you get one or the other. It could also be a dressing table if you didn't want to use it any more as craft corner. OH would have been proud of you.
