I think I have made a mistake!

Post by Spreckly »

At present I have lupin, poppy (the small red ones), dianthus and borrage seedlings growing in the greenhouse. I wonder if it is too late to plant them, and will they survive until next spring

I'd plant them out. Or if they are in big enough pots, enjoy them in the greenhouse.
Lupins are perennial, they keep going from one year to the next. Not sure about the others.

Thanks for your reply, Mo. I have a problem with slugs. They started eating my young lettuce seedlings which were in an outdoor trough. I have moved them onto a table, and they appear to be thriving now.

Me too. The kind that eat my potatoes. Just a little hole but the inside is a warren of tunnels.

My lupin seedlings are still in pots in the greenhouse. I do not want to plant them out due to the slug situation, and am hoping to be able to overwinter them where they are. They are about six inches tall with large leaves.

Sounds OK doesn't it.
Hope they do well.

Thanks Mo. I re-potted the lupins into a large container yesterday, still in the greenhouse.

The lupins appear to have settled into the large container.I am saving borrage, pansy and antirrhinum (sp?) seeds for next year.
