Potential poultry keeper

Post by Spreckly »

Hello

I have just discovered this most informative site. It has taken me over six years, on and off, to persuade my husband that we do have room for a few hens in our rather long and narrow back garden. I have looked at some of the posts, and really appreciated the photos, and advice given.

At present, we are preparing the ground, and our wallets, to provide a shed and coop for some birds - I only envisage having three. I think the preparation part will take until after our week's caravan holiday, and I need to sweet talk my nearest neighbour, but failing that, a neighbour two doors away also has poultry, so he might come into the picture when we are away for a weekend.

So, I look foward to being on this site. Best wishes to everyone.

My username, by the way, is borrowed from a school friend's large collection of poultry. She was my favourite hen, and I always looked for her when playing at the friend's home.

Welcome to the friendliest site ever. I only started keeping hens since last October. I've go three myself and really enjoy them, as well as the eggs. I've learned everything I know from here.

Good luck
