Pea pods for hens?

Post by Spreckly »

Just shelled some peas, and am wondering if the girls can have them to eat? Will they be bad for them?

They have turned their noses up at toast and cabbage leaves.

I read somewhere that fozen peas were good for chickens in hot weather. I gave the girls a handful before and they loved them! 

I think the pods are a bit fibrous. Try chopping them up a bit first. )t'

Mine ignore pead pods. We used to have a pony who love them, but then he would eat anything.

'I' was wondering about pea pods. I usually chop them up small, but the last lot just went in the compost.
