Re: Mike the Headless Chicken poor mike! No idea what to make of it either.
The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have
Woody Allen Re: Mike the Headless ChickenIt's alledgedly true and he lived for 18 months post decapitation attempt..
I've read about it before, goggle it. The rest is spam...
Re: Mike the Headless ChickenYeah right!.........another of those urban ledgends!
I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Mike the Headless ChickenThat one has been doing the rounds for years! I think it's well enough documented that it's likely to be true... weird though.

Re: Mike the Headless ChickenVery old story and true as far as I know.
But very, very sick !!! http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: Mike the Headless ChickenTheres no way that this chicken could possibly live after being decapitated
how did it drink or feed itself!.....oh yes!, magic mushrooms I am old and wise, because I was young and stupid!.
Re: Mike the Headless ChickenIf I remember correctly, the story is that it was a botched decapitation, and that the jugular vein and the brain stem were left intact, (or something) - he was fed liquid food using an eye-dropper.

Re: Mike the Headless ChickenIs possible for them to survive if tube/dropper fed, but then who in their right mind would go ahead & do it
Sarah.
Mum to 1 hubby, 4 children, 3 Springer Spaniels (Max, Millie & Buttons), 2 cats (Sox & Frankie), 2 rabbits (Crunchie & Munchie), 12 chickens (Target, Speckle, Barbara, Margot, EggieII, Gomez, Sparkle, Glitter, Wednesday & Isabel), 3 geese (Lister, Smeg & Camille) & 4 ducks (Soup, Anya, Marble & Vindaloo).
Re: Mike the Headless ChickenI know that if you cut off a cockroach's head it will only die from starvation. If it it dint need to eat or drink or some one fed it somehow it would only die of old age or getting stood on. The chicken thing is new to me but really cool!
