It's alledgedly true and he lived for 18 months post decapitation attempt..
I've read about it before, goggle it.

That one has been doing the rounds for years! I think it's well enough documented that it's likely to be true... weird though.

Theres no way that this chicken could possibly live after being decapitated :?

If I remember correctly, the story is that it was a botched decapitation, and that the jugular vein and the brain stem were left intact, (or something) - he was fed liquid food using an eye-dropper.

Is possible for them to survive if tube/dropper fed, but then who in their right mind would go ahead & do it :?

I know that if you cut off a cockroach's head it will only die from starvation. If it it dint need to eat or drink or some one fed it somehow it would only die of old age or getting stood on. The chicken thing is new to me but really cool! )t'
