That's cheap.

I sell my hen's eggs at £1 / 6 (friends price). It covers the feed + a bit towards the gold plated palace that we all build for them.

We sell at £1.80 for six good looking ones and eat the small or unusual looking ones as the neighbours might (I have never asked) be put off by the odd lumps and bumps we all know about. We have also trained them up about 'mud' I will start a new thread on this right now.

Duck eggs at our local little independent store are 90p - EACH!

Mike's right, duck eggs are very costly against hen eggs. Don't have ducks myself, but see them at silly prices most of the year then cheaper starting about now.

Our assorted ex batt and rare breed mixed boxes are £1.10 in my shop and sell out without fail at that. I also do orders of specific large browns or greens for customers at the same price. As these people turn up week in week out, I wouldn't charge extra.

Some customers like the odd shapes and especially the tiny torpedoes my Shetlands lay, so even the ones we'd think of as seconds are grabbed from the shelves. I explain why they look as they do and it adds value in the customer's eye - who wouldn't want to eat an elderly ex batt's wrinkly eggs when they know she's called Legs and it might be her last egg ever? Some ask if Tommy or Legs, Wonky and Shackleton have anything on offer this week, as if they are adding to her retirement fund directly. It's nice they care as much as we do to be honest.

That's so lovely Hazel :-D

I sell 6 chook eggs for £1.20 and if I put them on the gate, they vanish almost immediately. Duck eggs would be more than that I would think.

I occasionally sell 6 cluckie eggs for 0.75p, but more often than not I either eat boiled eggs for days on end or give them away }hairout{

I sell my surplus £1 per half dozen to a few of my neighbours. My two grandsons love delivering them (wife watches thier ok from front garden gate) and they often get a tip of a lollypop or a few sweets from their customers. )t'
