These are my two new ex batts, rescued yesterday from Lucky hens in Wigan. They both have poorly legs and are unable to stand, but are today enjoying their 1st time out in the sunshine.

yes we are hoping so, they were only rescued yesterday and they were handled quite roughly when taken out of the cages, their legs are not broke just badly bruised and they are in shock.

I understand it is important to get the girls out fast etc, to make it as less stressful for them, but its so sad when they get hurt, am sure with lots of tlc they will soon be up and about, did yu give them a little sugar/honey water? may help them with the shock etc )t'

they are on painkillers, given to me by Alison at the rescue and honey water, and at the moment they are only eating layers mash. Smartie is very stressed out and has been nicknamed Mrs Pecker, she lashes out when you go anywhere near her.
