How chickens breathe

I vaguely knew that a chicken's method of breathing differed from that of a mammal. I knew about air sacs but I certainly didn't know everything in this BHWT article. Chickens are just amazing.

That is interesting. I didn't know they could take in air from their bones!

Will have to have a look at those books Mo - I have been seriously thinking of having a go at writing up some children's books myself, bit gutted someone has beaten me to it!
