Hey, way to go.

Great day here, 19 degrees at 2pm! Got three out of my five beds dug over, tidied up and extended a couple of them as well.

Laid my Onion Sets out in a seed tray and left them out to get some air and start a bit more growth - will plant them out in two weeks. Hope to sow Broad Beans on Saturday.

Before and after..

An exceptional day and one for which you feel you've achieved!

The cunning plan..

So, weather rats, mice, bugs, escaped chickens, pigeons and cats permitting, off we jolly well!!

Sowed the Broad Beans in Pots today, will also sow some direct at the weekend. )t'

:-D

I dug a bit more today. I'm a wee bit worried the Broad Beans may not establish well in Pots, so sowed some direct as well. That's doubled the chances of it being OK., but if they all come up I shall be sick to death of them by August time!!

Helen, by chance I found a large plastic box today....yellow! So thanks for the blackfly tip )t'

I always start my broad/runner beans in pots Richard. I find they don't do as well sown straight into the ground.

Thanks Maggie. I've put them in the Lean To and not in the Greenhouse, bit too warm for them I think.

I also laid all the Onion sets in a tray and left them in there as well.

The last couple of weeks have been spent on preparation still.

I've laid the Onion sets out to get ready for planting at the weekend and will sow some more broad beans at the weekend as well.
Tomatoes are under way on the window sill.

Like every year, everything is about to happen at once!

All bar a couple of cups of Coffee and a quick peep at Forum each time, I've spent the whole day in the garden, finishing off with a massive bonfire at 6.30pm.

I made the bench and table (see re-cycled category), put in half the Onions, sorted some pots out for Carrots and did a general tidy up.

Non veggie wise, I also trimmed the Acer, as much as I didn't want to, it has taken over and last September it was really hanging heavy.

Tomorrow I shall sow the Carrots, maybe put up the Bean Poles.

Overall, thanks to the kind weather of late, I'm well ahead with things, but always aware I work strange hours and days at Cricket.

Going well and quite pleased.
