Considering you cant find that much time to attend to your garden because of your other commitments its all shaping up. How frustrating is it when you sow seeds and they make a good start and then.........gone and you have to start again. I cant get the hang of brassicas this year }hairout{

Hi Annie

I've been out in the garden at 7am doing bits, plus the other night I did some by PIR !!

Everything sown indoors or in the Greenhouse are OK., just anything outside which went through all that rain, has just had to be re-sown.
Luckily it's still early enough to do that.

How did we miss that?

200 demerits for each poster, I think!

Plus "Must do better" x 1000 for the mods?

What kind of example is that to set the yoof of today?

Broad Beans, Courgettes flying. Carrots, Runner Beans and Beetroot OK - Onions, Carrots and Squash struggling.

In the Greenhouse all is well. Photo above shows the bigger Greenhouse with Tomatoes, Cucumbers and Lettuce all doing fine.

The other Greenhouse with more Tomatoes, Chilli, Peppers etc. all doing OK.

Richard, that looks like a milking stool in your greenhouse - have you got a wee jersey cow hidden somewhere ?
So long as some bits are promising I think we will have to settle for that this year - I just seem to have lots of foliage but no flowers so can't see me getting much produce .
It will be alright in the end , if its not alright, it isn't the end .

Hi Annie,

I thought the stool was especially for people with hemorrhoids. yike*

Seriously, didn't know it was called that, haven't a clue where I got it from.

No cows, just three stupid cats and four eggless at the moment chickens :-D :-D

{rofwl} Richard the height of that stool , it would need to be a very big cow - I wouldn't want to cross a field with it in {rofwl} {rofwl} {rofwl}

17th. July

1. Onions, Carrots to the left then Sweet Corn, Courgettes, French Beans, to the back right Runner Beans and to the fore Broad Beans.

Image

2. Runner Beans with Beetroot and one Courgette for good measure. The Squash are behind..

Image

3. In the Big Greenhouse; Tomatoes, Lettuce and Cucumbers...

Patience is man's best virtue and it took me to the edge a few weeks ago, but all seems to be doing fairly well now.

Actually got home at 2pm today for a rest, spent since then weeding!

27th. July 2012

1. The Three Sisters - loads of Sweet Corn coming on and the Courgette Plants are the biggest I've ever had! French Beans not up to much though.

Image

2. Looking through the Runner Beans at Beetroot and another giant Courgette Plant (the Squash are behind it - not so big but not far behind)

Image

3. Tomatoes, Lettuce and Cucumber in the large Greenhouse

Image

4. More Tomatoes in the small Greenhouse (Chilli and Peppers out of sight)

So, pretty pleased at present.

If I wrote about my Garden today, it would just be one word and that word would be against Forum policies !!

But all in all I had a good year especially with the Three Sisters.
