{rofwl} The thing about living in Wales is, we always get this weather in the summer, so we're used to gardening in it. {rofwl}

I get my lamb from the farm I grew up on Perchy .. I won't upset you (again!) by telling you how much I pay for a whole lamb. )grin2(

Please don't tell me Jannie, I am wondering how to spilt one tomato between 3 {rofwl}

I have now resigned myself to the fact that if I get any produce it will be a bonus, at least the garden looks green )t'

Came back from hols to a feast of veg and salad crops ..even though Son helped himself to what he wanted. :-D

Plenty of cucumbers ready ...

Image

Tomatoes in the greenhouse look like they will start to ripen soon

Image

The basket tomatoes are doing better than ever..

Image

The runner beans have been visited by the bees and there's a bumper crop

Image

and the grapes are growing well ..though as this is the first year I've grown them.. I have no idea if they have enough time to develop. Anyone know?

The last couple of weeks have really been a case of sit back and reap the rewards..

The runner beans are giving us a feed most days
Image

Tomatoes are still a bit slow ripening but enough to supply our needs..
Image

Salad crops have been doing really well in the courtyard garden .. they seem to be well out of the slugs reach..
Image

the follow on crops that I put in after the potatoes are well on their way..
Image

as and expected, with all the rain, the water cress is better than ever..
Image

Picked the last of the blueberries this morning .. have had a really good crop from all the early soft fruits and it looks like the late crops are going to be good too.

Although I am disheartened with my garden Jannie I have to say I am glad to see at least someone is reaping dividends this year , that all looks super. )t'

Thankyou Annie and Helen {hug} .. as I said we are well used to growing in the rain in Wales .. but I have to say it's been harder this year as the plants have needed a lot more protection .. and on a day like today when torrential rain has battered the beans and I go out and find this many flowers knocked off !!! }hairout{

Jannie, you have done really well, and I know it has been hard for you with the weather too, I am so thrilled that you have had lots of bounties, and you are nearly self sufficient if you use what you have grown and what is ready.

Well done you {hug}

Thank you Perchy {hug} ... It's been a tough year for everyone .. but I have to say that the raised beds have been the secret this year )t' .. they are easy to manage when the weathers bad ..and the new courtyard garden is on the way to the chooks so it gets plenty of attention. )t'
