There are several different varieties of amaranth, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaranth hopefully mine will be a tasty leaf vegetable. >fi<
Munty is a guy on another forum who is well known for his bean frame. I'm sure Lord Lane won't mind me giving allotment.org a plug as they share the same server and he knows the guy who runs it I believe! :-D

I spent a lot of time this year preparing my poly tunnel for melons, lots of manure dug in and covered to keep warm, a suitable frame constructed and full growing instructions downloaded and laminated!
I now have a good crop of.... cucumbers! }hairout{

Needless to say, I've just sent a nice letter to a well known Suffolk seed company! {warn}

It's been a pretty good season! :-D
Failures: broccoli went straight to seed as did my Florence fennel, my parsnips are rubbish and of course my melons that turned out to be cucumbers! :oops:

But: Amazing carrots and no fly, really good bolthardy beetroot, plenty of runner beans on the successful Munty frame, nice solid cabbages shared with slugs, outdoor girl toms are covered in fruit, raspberries still producing and I've courgette of all shapes and colours coming out my ears, with enormous pumpkins!
My screen of blackberries, planted as a moron barrier, has produced, and is still producing phenomenal amounts of large fruit, kiwi fruit (small) for the first time and lots of goosegogs!

The early frosts put back my cape gooseberries, so no jam this year, and I had flowers on my goji berry but no fruit.
I grew a few shark's fin melon for a neighbour (a Chinese chef who feeds me!) and discovered that oriental lettuce must be eaten young!

It's the best year I've ever had for spuds, rockets really rocketed, lots of big desiree (great chips) and now pound land king Edwards producing half a carrier bag full on every root!

Planning for next year now! >veg<

Pallets, what else! :-D They have the added bonus of moving paths to suit crops and no more problems of grass paths spreading themselves out!

It's pretty much over now bar the shouting! Quite a few leeks still in, a few carrots, the best I've ever grown and no fly (nantes), cape gooseberries that are not likely to ripen and some yellow courgettes for cake making.
I had to rip out the outdoor girl tomatoes and burn them due to blight.
The "plan" and seeds are ready for next year, and I've started digging! >veg1<
