Just watched a fascinating documentary (with Claire Bolding) about Emily Davison the Woman Suffragette who came to her end at the Derby in 1913.

What they went through for suffrage was truly outstanding.

Interesting viewing, you can pick it up on the Channel 4 version of iPlayer.

(I like it when people post about interesting programmes because I watch so little television that I rarely get to see trailers/previews for things)

The nice thing also is of course Claire Bolding, she really lives her programmes and puts things over is such a natural way. Ten out of ten for Claire )t'

I'm sure you will enjoy it, many photo's and video.

I`m looking forward to watching that on catch up. Claire Balding has a walking programme on Radio 4 called Ramblings and she comes across as such a lovely warm person even on the radio.

I watched this programme - absolutely brilliant. Claire Balding is a great presenter, I think.

I went to a wedding once in Morpeth, and making our way into the church passed the grave of Emily. This was about 20+ years ago - I can remember little posies of flowers placed on the grave.
