Bob Blakely on 'The Voice'

Post by Richard »

I don't know if anyone watched the Voice last Saturday, but there was this fantastic bloke, aged 55 I think, who sang 'Cry me a River.

The Judges turned him down for some unknown reason. Tom Jones said he'd made a mistake not selecting him.

Anyway, he was BBC Breakfast and this happened...

Good for a good voice, even more so to that age and be discovered.

There is so much talent out there, just being in the right place at the right time I guess.

Wow he's got a really strong voice....I wonder why none of them pressed that button??

Great he's got an opportunity though...

I just don't get some of these shows...some poeple sound great and don't get picked and then others go through that sounds like well...I don't know what :?

Wow, brilliant voice, could do with a lot more singers like that instead of some of rubbish turned out. Can`t believe they would reject a voice like that..
Used to like Andy Williams myself. Can`t beat the old crooners and a bit of rock and roll.

Will I Am did say he would have to do something..... maybe a quick word was had!

The problem, as they whispered on Saturday, was they loved him but couldn't see how he would fit with what they had in mind.

Then again, they seem to pick all the singers who have the pub singer "EEeeeeeOooooo" instead of a nice clean "You" I have been very surprised at some of the picks!

I thought it naturally nice he was wearing the same suit and shirt on the Breakfast Show as he was on The Voice - no pretence.

I agree with Stef, also a hint of a phone call somewhere along the line.

If nothing else he would make a darned fine act on a Cruise Ship and of the like.
Like to hear him sing 'I who have nothing', although he'd have to change the words from 'he' to 'her' !

Of course, if I was on it with my Guitar and Keyboards, they'd spin those seats around instantly :-D
