Well done. We've tried a couple of times to hatch Rheas -with no success at all. Enjoy them.

Thankfully Baxter has only done this once - I think he decided that having to have a bath after just wasn't worth it (he HATES bathtime hehe!!).

Thanks for that Wendy - thought it should be ok but OH said no way because the vet had said it had to stay on. He won't be walking Baxter anyway (normally my job unless I really can't) so it's not up to him hehe.

Well I was working (again!) today and he was still wimpering when I left - but I came home to him jumping up and down, and have spent the last 3 hrs trying to calm him down so he doesn't rip his stiches!!! At least he seem's a bit happier. He managed to pull his collar off earlier so now it is tied ...

Well he is home safe and sound. I was working a 12hr shift so OH has been in charge of everything and has kept me informed. Baxter is very sleepy. He does have a collar on - been told to leave if on for a week which will def do as he is already trying to lick himself and I don't want any infections ...
