Re: Leo

I know a lot of time has passed since last post, to cutt long story short, gave Leo away a year ago to a nice young family. Just learned that due to an undiscovered heart condition ,he had to be put down as he was in pain and it was the kindest thing to do. Gutted.

Re: Pallets (or other) for raised beds

Why do the makers of pallets insist on using ring shank nails. They are a nightmare to pull out. Any tips for getting the nails out with ease? or is that a burden I will have to bear.

Funny how last year i was able to buy one of the big round bales for £25. I went to pick up one on tuesday past, and it cost me £46. Even with the high cost, because i was'nt happy with the quality of the first two bales taken out of the barn. The farmer even went to give me back my money, and said ...

Leo

Sad times are with me at the moment. I have a horse named Leo, 16 hands and 19 y.o.a, a real gentle old boy. He is a retired show jumper and when out on a hack, he never flinches at vehicles or dogs. I simply can not afford to keep him any more, although stabled here at home, the food and vet bills ...

Thankyou all for your kind comments {hug&kiss}
The singer you are talking about Gwenoakes, is Gareth Gates, and he has done a good job of getting the word out there. The course is great at giving you the control back in your speech. )c(

Re: What's been at my beans?

Just a thought on your problem, could it be caused by cutworm? They are normaly active at night and are controlled by the use of bromophos.

My rooster ( Archie ), seems to have very large spurs. So much so that when he walks the spurs can be heard clicking together. Just was wondering will this do him any harm, and if it is possible could i give him a( manicure ) Whatever the outcome it sure is'nt holding him back from treading the hens

Re: Wolfe's veg. diary 2010

Things are starting to look up All my seeds have came through, was a bit heavy handed when sowing so had to do a lot of thinning. Seems such a waste but it had to be done. . Now i'm kept busy keeping things watered, bug free and had to erect a net to keep off the birds. . Not forgetting the weeding ...
