How is everybody doing with their caching? It is much more fun now being able to get out during the lighter evenings. No. 114 and counting!

The Garmin Etrex Venture HC does have maps and TBH they do make a difference, especially if you are caching in an area that you don't know. It is usually accurate to within about 4 ft, depending on the planters own GPS of course and how accurate that is. Also with this model it has a Geocaching mode...

I picked up my canoe today so will be doing the cache that can only be reached by boat tomorrow.

Go for it, I am totally hooked as I have mentioned before. So much so that I have just bought a canoe in order to go and find some that can only be reached by boat on one of our local canals.

I recommend the Garmin Etrex Venture HC as a good device, it hasn't let us down once.

I am now nearing my 100th cache since I started in January.

Can I overdose the chooks with greens or can they really have as much as they want, the girls would carry on eating it non stop. If I should limit them how much should they have a day, we have 8 girls.

Does anyone know of a process for making logs from wood shavings and or sawdust. As we have to get rid of so much from the hens we thought it may be a way of using it again.

Oh how my girls love sprouts, but only cooked and mashed. Offered any other way they turn their beaks up at them.

If you still feel the need to give them a treat just give them some greens. That's what we do now as we were being far too soft on them. Now they are quite happy with a cabbage or something thrown in and I know they are still getting their pellets.

don't worry, we have 8 hens now, all got at Point-of-Lay and we aren't getting eggs off all of them yet. I was eggspecting more by now but I know they will come. Only three of ours are laying up to now. The taste of the first egg will be even more special after the long wait.

Fussy so and so's these chooks, just like kids, mine will only eat sprouts if I have mashed them for them.

You should see them with spaghetti, now that is funny!
