Orfy I agree, afterall there are only two!
Had there been a large number of hens then I would say the council would be justified with their actions.
If they had two dogs in the garden would there be a problem?

Elderly couple face eviction for keeping two hens *UPDATED**

Just been on the north east news, this sort of thing realy annoys me.
Apparently the hens are a health risk )ang
What harm can two hens in a garden do? If they realy do pose a risk to health then we are all doomed

I suppose its lucky your friend was away, it would have been a lot worse if they had been at home when it happened. I have to admit mrs Al is more scared of being broken into ...

In a way we are quite lucky on our allotments as they are well hidden and the road into them looks like your driving into someones back yard. Not only that but most of the local bad lads stay well away due to an incident that happened before I had the allotment. I have been told that one of my allot...

In situations like that I would always ask for a phone number. I usualy say I will have to give you a ring to arrange a time because I will have to check my shifts at work. Any excuse will do its just to get that phone number. Also when I recently sold my car I said the house is difficult to find so...

Hi Dave, I have been gathering bits to do a very similar build although yours comes in cheaper than mine will. I have purchased a light/dark sensitive switch with an onboard relay. I have sourced a very cheap cordless screwdriver from a well known supermarket to lift and lower the door. As far as th...

Bluebell, It was great to meet you also, shame we couldn't of chatted a little longer but I am sure there will be future opportunities. My daughter was waiting at the door for us to get home with the hens she was so excited. This morning I prepared her for the worst by telling her the hens may look ...

Helen, I reckon unless the aviary pannels are completely rusted and full of holes then they are reusable. I suggest you show your boys the pics of my coop and run in the members coop photos section. 95% of the materials in it are recycled in a nutshell I paid roughly £25 for wood that I couldn't do...
