Do they have any source of moisture?

When mine started laying, I used to occasionally get 2 small eggs from one of my hens in the same day. Last time it happened, one of them had a really tiny yolk, and one of them was about 90% yolk...

You can get a timer to add onto the door opener so that it doesn't open before a certain time - then you could probably just leave him in the coop with the others. Obviously they would all have to wait for the door to open though.
