Re: muddy carpet - anyone want a 6'7" son?

Mad isnt the size of our lads - clothes and footwear are such a problem! Me I,m 5'8 and my brothers are 6 footers so its come from my side and I think I fed them too well, lol.
Glad your carpet came out okay - its best not to speculate what the mud is made up of either, lol.

Re: muddy carpet - anyone want a 6'7" son?

I go along with the advice to let the mud dry, brush it with a stiff ...

A little jiggery pokery

I couldn't understand why my 4 year old granddaughter wouldn,t eat my home mix muesli when she would happily tuck into the shop bought stuff. I tried all sorts of tricks and different mixes. Then I read the ingredients on the packets - they all had malt extract in them! Now I have malt extract that ...

Re: Any Frugal Insulation Tips ?

I use bubblewrap to insulate pipes even the external farm pipes and my water well. My son is living in a static caravan on the farm whilst building himself a cob house, he uses bubblewrap on the windows and the glass doors. I also use it in the polytunnel to insulate the winter vege and the over-win...

Re: wood burner

It is not illegal to collect fallen branches etc if it is on common land, that includes the New Forest. To be honest I don't think anybody is going to mind you tidying up a bit of wood, lol

First of all, my last remaining hen has now gone to a better place, she died during the night in her house. I,m now totally bereft. The dog who attacked my hen ha...

Definetly a horrible situation. Thanks all for helping me get this in perspective, at leat i,m trying to. All I can say is that his dog definetly was responsible for the death of one because I witnessed it. The dog jumped a 5' fence to get to my hens. The main land is surrounded by stone walls/shrub...

How the devil do I handle this??

I have a 2 related dilemmas ..... I had a total of 65 ex-battery hens over the past 6 years. These I nursed back to health and let them free range during the day. Obviously over the years I have lost a number of them to a natural death. However I lost 5 plus my beautiful cockerel all in 1 day in Jan...

[quote="Meanqueen"]Kate, I think you should go on strike, and not cook at all. My mum put the meals on the table, we ate it all, didn't dare leave any. She said just two words, 'eat it.' Didn't have pudding very often the budget didn't run to that, but if there was some, it was a case of i...
