Re: Any bloke Members do flowers?

Until a couple of years ago i would only grow it if I could eat it. Now I find I need ot satisfy other appetites both visual and olfactory. I'm also on a mission to make my garden more wildlife friendly. All this involves the growing of flowers both wild and cultivated. Most of the cultivated flower...

As an experiment I grew some hanging baskets with tiny tomatoes, french beans, ruby chard and chillies. We got our first tomato today and it was delicious...we had half each!

Better still cut the grow bag in half and make two deep sacks. Put drainage holes in the bottom and a cane in each. Best to only grow two to...

Free planting modules

Planting in modules can be very useful and saves seed but they can be expesive to buy and are not always easy to re-use. I came up with the following idea that uses packaging from chicken joints and corex sheeting that supermarkets sometimes use in their milk bottle stacks but is used for a lot of o...

I used too do it the way you describe but if space is tight that can be quite messy. The way to go is to use two or three and do ...

Good theory but does it work? No.............. until I found that the two tools shown, greatly facilitate the job. The...
