Chicken eating her eggs?

One of my chickens is eating her eggs.

Why does she do this?

How can I remedy it?

They are all in good health and happy go lucky girls!

I'm confused.com!

It takes me about 5-10 ltrs of running the hot tap to get hot water through, that mounts up over a year!

Water use

I find to do the washing by hand I have to run the tap for an age before I get hot water, in summer I run the cold stuff into a watering can to put on the veg. The dish washer takes in cold water and heats just the water it needs! I've read the thing to do with a dish washer is NOT to rinse the plat...

Own a Land Rover?

If you own a Land Rover its worth joining a Land Rover club, there are many of them as Dealerships (Stealerships) will often give a 10% discount for club members

This would probaly be true of other popular cars ie VW Beetle and Campervans, Morris Minors etc.

I only have 3 birds and the coop has a flat but slightly sloped roof so its easy to do. I've also used some supermarket freezer bags (they have a silver lining inside) to cover the smaller nesting boxes as there seems to be snow on the cards!

For me its about giving them the best of care, no they probaly don't need extra heat but if it makes them happier and keeps them in a greater degree of comfort. They are still laying at their summer rate. I would only use heat to take the edge off winter nights rather than trying to keep them in sub...

I lining the inside with card, plenty of straw (which they delite in kicking out the door) plenty of saw dust on the floor, lined with card. An old rug over the top if its a dry night.

I had to take one of ours to the vet the other day and I was very surprised how warm they are. She has decided that this was great weather to start to moult! :shock:

I guess good insulation is the safest bet! Prefrebly the kind the dont eat! :-D
