Sorry to hear she's gone, but as has been said she couldn't have had a better 28 months, and a peaceful passing too is a blessing.

WHY do they do these things to us???? It's as much a mystery as WHY did our cat , in the middle of th...

I wasn't sure about that either. There's a neighbourhood cat here that comes to our place to hunt mice in our long grass (but then again I've never seen it catch one) and it seems like a pretty tough thing so I was a bit worried. I have however never seen it paying any attention to our chicken. Our ...

It sounds like she's on the road to recovery but in general I'd recommend Rescue Remedy for shock.
Also again just for general info I know internal injuries from dog attacks can be hard to detect but can be fatal so if she wasn't looking better I would have said a vet visit could be a good idea.

Sorry to hear about that, it must be upsetting to say the least. I dont know if this would make you feel any better, but I saw a documentary some years ago about a man who had been caught and held by a lion - he thought he was going to die and said that after the massive 'flight' adrenalin rush, he ...

I can't vouch for the validity of this but whenever I get a cramp my mum says 'oh you need Calcium and Magnesium'. Now I don't get cramp that often so I haven't been reaching for the tablets just yet but if you get a lot of cramps or severe cramps it might be that?? Probably Google it first, as I ha...

Here in Aus I think they switched to plastic because the brown paper ones were notorious for having the bottom fall out of them.
Broken jars of pasta sauce anyone?

I'm sure several American movies feature the bottoms falling out of people's grocery bags - that's them! :?

Yum! Here's some more info on the Aussie version: m I think that the biodynamic method would have been one of the first to really realise and use the principle of encouraging soil microbes that help plants to assimilate nutrients. I am not sure if they realised that's what they were doing! Or if the...
