for the last couple of days one of my girls is making a funny noise ,she sounds like one of them dogs toys you roll back and forth and makes a squeaky cow noise .lol probnot making myself clear but shes not clucking the same as the others seems fine in herself though

dont think shes broody she sits on the perch how long do i give her shes been like this for at least 3 weeks i get her out and cuddle her but cant keepdoing that as have a busy life and if i get her out she runs back in and dont wasnt to shut run door in case the others want to go in and lay

bar 1, all the new chooks have settled in together except the lil polish but shes not new shes been here a long time now. open coup to let them out in morning for a bit of freerange while im about but she never comes out of the house! if i take her out and put her out she runs back into the house!! ...

yes its seethru plastic off cut of the roof so they can see each other, ive got 4 in one side and the 2 new ones and polish in the other now so di i put a new one in with the four and then add them slowly like that or a bully in with the other 3 sorry sounding a bit thick but want to get it right

yes ive got a coup at each end cos polish and another was being bullied but a few weeks ago i made it a long one but can put a plastic bit between the two of them just want them all to get along

does it usually take for new hens to be accepted? got 2 new young ladies 2 weeks ago now and they are hunched in the bottom of the coup along with gertie the polish who has always been bullied! i have a problem free ranging them but they do go out when im at home so i can keep an eye on them as mr f...

lol yes i have a very big white hen she is last in pecking order but shes not bullied although she does bully the other 2 that are on thier own when they are roaming free, cat see nay blood and she seems happy

just come back from work and have white feathers everywhere in the run, do chickens moult this time of year? shes not bald and deosnt look like theres been a fight

omg just went out to feed my four dogs put their feed down and they have to sit and wait til i say ok but the terrier decided she want to start so was telling her off when out the corner of my eye i saw one of the girls had escaped from their part of the garden into the dogs part! i nearly pooed mys...

i was worried she was trying to suffocate her !

ok thanks yes they are dustbathing but the one on the botttom is alot slight than the mahoosive one on top lol
