Freezing works best for long term keeping but if you want to keep them for a few days, perhaps to give away to someone..then wrap them in newspaper and put them in fridge! Dont know why but it works with lots of apt to go soft veggies!

yes they can wander off and return. I had one hen when I lived in england that did go away over night.luckily she returned very noisily the next day as though it was my fault, so dont give up hope yet. I hope she returns safe and sound.

I did it!! without taking my clothes off I had lost 2.5lbs and am now 1lb under my target weight! took 6 weeks for the stone to come off but now I dont have to pay anymore to get checked! Was very good and didnt celebrate with cake!
