Hi all, I am looking at getting a few more chooks, so if anyone knows of any that need rehoming in the south yorkshire area please let me know, I have had ex batts in the past, so they are not a problem, cant take any cockerals because of the crowing, cheers

Hi,I used the heras fencing for my run,i dug a trench and set the fencing into it then concreted it in,it really is solid and the foxes cannot dig under it,i also fastened some chicken wire all around the bottom of the fencing to stop the chooks sticking their heads out,hope this helps

Hi Debby,I used the herras fence panels that are used on building sites and suchlike to make my run,They are around 11 feet long and 7 feet high,You can cut the panels down to fit,They are quite easy to work with,They must be easy because i managed to build mine,Hope this helps

I recently rehomed 7 ex batts,I am glad i got all 7 at once as my existing 5 birds gave them a right going over at first,i hate to think what they would have been like with just 1 or 2 to go at,at least it spread out the bullying a bit,they have been together 2 weeks now and apart from a bit of both...

I had the same problem,I bought 7 young birds from a small local breeder and all 7 turned out to be cockerels,tried calling her but she wasnt interested,i managed to rehome them all,but it took a few weeks,I hope you have more luck than i did with the breeder
