Red mite on humans/homes

Not been a contributor to this site for some time - but do still use it as a point of reference when I need information. Unfortunately on my return from holiday I discovered that the dreaded redmite had returned - and had obviously been breeding like rabbits. I have ensued with chemical warrfare. an...

Re: New Member with an unhappy Chicken needs advice

Hya - whe mine do this it is normally a sign of a softie egg - i.e. one without a shell on its way! They look sad, walk aroudn with head pulled in and seem to just want to sit down all the time. Wendy gave me a fantastic trick - try to feed your girl natural yoghurt or olie oil (or both!) - I find g...

Re: Do chickens get bored?

The answer - YES! Try hanging veg just out of their reach they have to work at it to get some! I have large logs with holes in and I stuff their corn in these - again bit of a puzzle for them. Best fun they have is a £2.00 bale of straw - lasts weeks - just stick it in the run and watch them try to ...

They are eating less and egg production has been much better. Thanks again for the advice - and especially the redmite spray advice - great ...

Seen on another thread that some one ripped off their roofing felt - thinking I will do this in case they are hiding in there - hate the stuff anyway. What can I re roof my house with?
