It's been over 3 years now since our first chooks arrived, I still smile when I see eggs they have laid. Especially in winter when the egg is still warm when you hold it or touch it to your cheek! Rather worryingly, my chooks eat sage! tee hee

My 'lawn' is now mostly clover, it's robust and seems to regrow even though not much grass is.

Yorkie has picked up the big truck, ouside our house for early morning start!! Yoo hoo, so excited!!! I keep my watering can full indoors and defrost the water bowls every morning. It has been so cold it all ices within a couple of hours so am now doing it 2-3 times per day, even the water bowl in our open shed is iced today. I want to know if the olive oil works - thanks Morph, will try it tomorrow

I just always keep my feeder topped up with pellets, they eat what they want. I also give them a beaker of corn on the lawn etc. Plus porridge of course.
